Reporting to the Senior Director of Staffing, the Manager, Talent Acquisition will help develop and execute the overall recruitment strategy for Roche Diagnostics.  S/he will manage a diverse team of recruiters and/or sourcers who are responsible for meeting the short and long-term recruitment needs of the organization.  This leader will also function as a member of the North American Diagnostics Staffing Leadership Team and an extended member of the HR Leadership team for the client groups supported.  S/he will be responsible for contributing to the decision making process for the broader Staffing function and HR client management team. In addition, S/He will provide leadership to ensure department objectives and goals are achieved by directing and implementing tactical recruitment plans. 

Key responsibilities include the following:

Deliver Results

  • Leads a team of high performing Recruiting Consultants/Sourcers
  • Assists Sr. Leader to create an overall recruiting strategy for the team including building vision, setting clear goals, and identifying roles and responsibilities
  • Monitors, recognizes and coaches for performance with a focus on candidate and hiring manager experience 
  • Uses rigorous analysis to establish new ways of doing things that yield higher levels of performance 
  • Mobilizes additional resources and metrics to achieve results 
  • Contributes to results in other areas of business

Recruit with Strategy and Insight

  • Can translate department level strategies to the functional level, in particular identifying opportunities to leverage work across affiliate organizations 
  • Develops team goals to align with functional level goals 
  • Balances present and future business needs for talent across the organization including a strategic focus on diversity recruitment strategies
  • Assure compliance to the company’s affirmative action plans and diversity goal​

Innovate and Expand Possibilities

  • Applies original thinking and can execute new ideas through team members, uses effective influencing skills to do the same with local and global partners in HR and the business 
  • Can construct ideas for improvement and pool resources to execute on them 
  • Takes creative action directly and influences through others when discovering new ways of working, developing new recruitment strategies and when discovering new tools

Partnerships, Vendor & Tools/Technology Management

  • Innovation in exploring tools and technologies aimed at increasing recruiting efficiencies
  • Advanced application and use of technology, systems and tools 
  • Identify and maintain contracts with recruiting sources such as job fairs, technical recruitment agencies and various job search web sites
  • Partner with department leadership and business unit HR operations staff to identify effective hiring criteria/required job competencies and efficient recruitment/sourcing strategies and implement them to efficiently manage and report on the cost of hiring to the organization.

Position Requirements include the following:

  • BS degree or equivalent work equivalent work experience 
  • A minimum of 10  years of talent acquisition experience with 2+ years talent acquisition leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and deploying recruitment strategies  
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) 
  • Demonstrated track record of leading a team to design and implement creative and effective recruiting strategies 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global, dynamic, matrix based and performance driven environment 
  • Demonstrated strategic influencing skills with senior executives, clients, peers, and partners.
