Roche Molecular Diagnostics focuses on developing predictive tools to assist in patient prognosis and treatment in the clinical laboratory. Our portfolio is based on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology which has served as an aid in genetic identification and has provided the basis for unprecedented advances in the diagnosis and monitoring of life-threatening diseases, such as HPV, HIV and hepatitis. As a member of the Molecular Sales team, the Molecular Clinical Specialist will focus on representing the clinical value of our testing solutions; will be viewed as a clinical subject matter expert by the company and the field; and will be responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of sales strategies to grow market share and exceed sales goals for Roche Molecular Diagnostics solutions.
The MCS will have strong clinical and molecular proficiency and will specialize in utilizing this expertise in a consultative way to influence customers and key opinion leaders in the Molecular.Diagnostics market segment by effectively representing the clinical value of our testing solutions. Provide in-depth clinical expertise regarding assigned product lines.
Provide professional leadership amongst Account Managers in planning, organizing, and disseminating the clinical value of molecular testing solutions.
Utilize strong product/market knowledge and clinical experience to support selling activities and resolve customer questions and concerns.
Support assay validation and go-lives, as appropriate, to streamline and expedite processes, and enhance the customer experience
Continuously build knowledge of current industry trends, clinical data, relevant disease states, Key Opinion Leaders, competitive information, and industry/technical knowledge and share with other Roche colleagues.
Work cross-functionally with the sales and marketing organization to acquire, retain, and extend customers through effective representation of technical and clinical data, as well as testing guidelines, and how Roche solutions can address relevant disease state and diagnostic standards of care
Establish and build strong client relationships that allow for growth, profitability and predictability.
Communicate with other relevant Roche functions to ensure needed sales support and delivery of programs/products.
Stay abreast of changes in the marketplace and science that impacts customers. Maintain a working knowledge of company products and those of the competitors and share this information with leadership.
PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Microbiology or related field
5+ years of clinical laboratory/molecular diagnostics experience.
Demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships with highly regarded Health Care Professionals and Key Opinion Leaders in clinical diagnostics or pharmaceutical market.
Able and comfortable presenting and discussing clinical data.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Have an entrepreneurial spirit, strong business acumen, and a desire to conquer complex processes.
Have successful consultative, strategic planning and organizational skills
