The position:

As Portfolio Manager for Diabetes Care you oversee the existing portfolio and pipeline and you ensure that the portfolio structure is linked to the business unit strategy and its’ strategic objectives. The Portfolio Manager is taking care of the implementation of the end-to-end process, by making sure that all solution development projects are reviewed by the defined governance bodies, at the established gates, and following the same guidance.

In this crucial role, you will

  • Participate in the development of portfolio strategies, tools and tactics to drive growth, profitability, and predictability for Roche Diabetes Care
  • Monitor portfolio progress and related milestones, identify gaps and make strategic recommendations
  • Collaborate with the product development and pipeline key stakeholders to provide visibility to key information that will enable reliable, agile and responsive actions
  • Perform regular updates to key stakeholders and senior management on Roche Diabetes Care’s portfolio
  • Collaborate with other functions in articulating and visualizing one comprehensive view of the existing pipeline projects and portfolio solutions
  • Assure a clear and simplified visualization of the portfolio and pipeline overview

Who you are:

You are a potential candidate for this interesting position, if you have

  • A bachelor/master in Life Sciences or Business Administration
  • Extensive work experience in sales and marketing, preferably you bring a strategy consulting background
  • Industry experience evaluating portfolio strength, conducting business analysis, portfolio rebalancing and performing financial evaluation of pharma/ diagnostics assets
  • Project management experience with the ability to oversee multiple projects at the same time
  • A high degree of autonomy and visionary thinking and you can apply knowledge in a broad range of assignments, making independent decisions based on sound reasoning and analysis  
  • Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity, e.g. quickly grasp complex scientific concepts or ability to boil down complex topics into simple messages
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills such as negotiation, influence on management decisions and stakeholder management
  • The ability to communicate business proficient in English and in German
