As a Global PHC Data Policy Leader you will create and lead a global cross-functional team to define, evolve and implement a comprehensive PHC data position and policy plan to accelerate delivery of the Roche PHC strategy. You will collaborate with key stakeholders and industry partners to apply the data policy and accelerate adoption of transformative PHC solutions.


Your main responsibilities will include:


Align internal functions around PHC data policy strategy, objectives and actions
Coordinate and orchestrate external stakeholder engagements with the aim of evolving healthcare data landscape
Establish strong internal alignment with other PHC policy functions (regulatory, access, medical, etc.)
Develop, lead and represent the global PHC data policy ecosystem to inspire change in healthcare environments
Lead the cross-functional collaboration to create and implement key PHC data policy strategies
Create connections and partnerships with cross-industry partners, academia and disease area associations to stimulate partnerships globally, develop best practices and share findings in the evolution of healthcare systems data infrastructure and capabilities
Support, mentor and develop Affiliates in PHC data policy strategy and implementation
Conduct robust policy analysis and synthesize policy evidence to inform strategy and positions

Your key accountabilities will include:

You will lead the creation and evolution of Roche data policy in an aligned and collaborative manner based upon Roche Leadership Commitments
Aligning with and using other industry partners and stakeholders to support development and establishment of data policy, standards and infrastructures
You will build and manage a global team to develop the internal & external policies that support data infrastructure, interfaces, & relationships necessary to enable transformative health systems evolutions 

Qualifications/Background

To be successful, we believe good knowledge of healthcare data, systems & regulations and an understanding of the access process (HTAs) will be needed. This should be coupled with significant experience developing and leading teams in a global, cross-functional and matrix environment. Your strong learning and organizational agility allows you to successfully navigate in a VUCA, cross-functional and matrixed environment.


We're looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, who shows the ability to develop important relationships with others internally and externally. Acting as a strong partner and coach for direct reports and Affiliates, you have excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills and influence others without authority. 

What else do you need in your toolbox?


You hold an advanced degree in policy, public health, or business is required, a MD or PhD in a relevant field is desirable
Understanding the role of policy in shaping commercial opportunities for PHC
Ability to translate scientific advances (e.g. genetics) and new technological capabilities (e.g. advanced analytics) to transform healthcare systems
Extensive experience (10 years) in policy shaping and influencing in complex, intense environments
Extensive experience with health care data policies as well as targeted therapies, personalized medicine, genetics, & advanced analytics
Extensive experience in achieving results by engaging third parties and forming effective external / internal coalitions
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
