This is an exciting opportunity for a Communications professional to join the Global Infrastructure & Solutions (GIS) team in Basel.  GIS is one of the four IT functions supporting all Roche business and provides customer support on infrastructure and applications as well as ERP. 

The job is based in our offices in Basel, Switzerland, and is a global role.

As Communications Manager, you will report to the Head of Communications in GIS. You will be responsible for helping create and drive the communications strategy that delivers impactful campaigns, both internally and externally, supporting the business objectives, culture and values of Roche.

You will help manage an intern who will support you in your role.  You will be responsible for inspiring, leading, motivating and developing this colleague.

In your role, you will help the Head of GIS to raise and improve Leadership visibility, provide online and video support and materials, maintain the GIS web portal and make all necessary changes to ensure that it is kept up to date. You will be working jointly on providing greater visibility for major GIS initiatives, organise global and local Townhalls and meetings, write articles and short stories for our G+ community. You will also collaborate with the colleagues in IT communications from Group Communications, as well as those who support other IT functions. Please note that some international travel maybe required.

We are looking for candidates with a degree and qualifications in Communications, Journalism or equivalent, and a minimum experience of 5 years in communications, either within the Pharma/Diagnostics/Healthcare industry, or within an agency, preferably within the Healthcare or the IT communications departments.  Ideally you will speak Polish and English fluently.  Other languages are very welcome.

The role will start in December 2019.
