Summary

Provide legal advice, preparing legal documents, negotiating, remaining updated with legislation changes, proactively and efficiently engaging with stakeholders, working autonomously but also as a team player while maintaining at all times company’s values, best interest and confidentiality To ensure that employees know where they can ask for help and advice if they have doubts about the correct business behavior. Initiate and coordinate local compliance endeavors, initiatives and training programs. Support and conducts compliance monitoring, compliance controls and compliance audits and the adequate handling of local non-compliance cases. "

 

Your responsibilities

Legal

  • Prepare and review of a wide variety of legal documents and contracts

  • Conduct legal research and data analysis

  • Convey legal advice on different legal issues and follow-up information, in consultation with internal Legal department and/or external lawyers if need be, regarding risks and legal liabilities of actual policies, practices and contractual situations

  • Draft legal opinion, memoranda and other briefing documents

  • Negotiate contractual issues and agreements with internal and external parties as appropriate

  • Proactively communicate and follow up with stakeholders

  • Remain up-to-date with new relevant legislation

  • Liaise with government officials, external law offices and management on various legal issues

  • Ensure review and compliance with the corporate policies, processes and with Roche Code of Conduct and compliance rules

  • Participate in establishing and implementing training programs

  • Conducting legal audits and monitor the implementation of legal clauses

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and displays positive attitude

Compliance Management

  • Act as a change manager for new processes, procedures and guidelines and support the business in implementing them

  • Identify the need for new or revised processes, procedures and guidelines based on global changes, compliance trends, organizational needs and risk assessments

  • Develop drafts for new or revised processes, procedures and guidelines

  • Submit drafts of processes, procedures and guidelines to the respective leadership teams for approval

  • Establish auditing and monitoring checklists and procedures

  • Report monitoring findings to relevant functions

  • Maintain documentation

  • Preform BEIR case reporting

  • Analyze and improve the operational systems, processes and procedures within KSA

  • Develop and maintain together with the Compliance Committee a regional risks and opportunities management system, risk mitigation strategy

  • All service activities and behavior in business must be in compliance to Roche standards expected on all Roche employees
