Responsible for meeting the department cost, quality, delivery, and safety goals and objectives by coordinating activities across work teams and efficiently allocating resources. Creates and maintains metrics to achieve departmental goals. Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promotes quality and compliance.
This position is based in Tucson, AZ. Relocation assistance is available if not located within 50 miles of Tucson.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Supervises, leads, plans, schedules and coordinates team and production activities.
Oversees production and release of products within established schedule.
Provides necessary training and guidance for career developmental needs to direct reports. Works closely with quality groups to ensure strict compliance with good manufacturing practices guidelines at all times.
Manages employee performance through annual review process, ongoing feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
Interfaces with other functional groups to gain alignment in the implementation of new processes and resolving problems. Identifies areas for improvement, propose changes, gain approval and implement process change.
Responsible for cost center spending and approval of expenses as authorized; provide input to departmental budgets.
Responsible for performance issues and disciplinary actions.
Identify areas for improvement, propose changes, gain approval and implement process change.
Interface with other functional groups to gain alignment in the implementation of new processes and resolving problems.
Resolve any technical issues as required.
Maintains quality system compliance (e.g., follow processes and procedures as written) for self and direct reports.
Establishes and maintains metrics to monitor department activities and performance measures.

Schedule: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM Thursday - Monday
Associates degree or equivalent school credits with 8 years relevant experience OR Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR Masters degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
2 years supervisory, process or project management experience.
Knowledge of Google sheets, docs and slides. Microsoft products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic document management software.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Ability to plan and organization work while being collaborative and flexible.
Ability to prepare and present information clearly and concisely to groups.
Ability to work with and manage cross-departmental teams.
Sound knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
