A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning, innovative and pioneering blue-chip organisation as an Engineering Apprentice in the Midlands where you will be able to shape a fulfilling and rewarding career in the field of Medical Diagnostic Engineering.

What is involved?

This 3-4 year Advanced Apprenticeship will see you studying toward a Level 4 Diploma in Engineering Maintenance with a local approved training provider. Alongside your college study you will work with other qualified team members to learn the practical skills required to be a Field Service Engineer with Roche Diagnostics. We provide the industry’s broadest range of diagnostics and monitoring products and services, spanning all sectors of the market: from small hand-held devices used directly by patients or healthcare professionals, to large diagnostic instruments found in hospital laboratories.
We believe it’s urgent to deliver smart medical solutions right now and develop innovations for the future and you can make a genuine contribution to these ambitions in your role as an Engineering Apprentice.

Who are you?

You will have excellent practical skills, a strong attention to detail and enjoy working in a team with good problem solving and communication skills. It’s also important to us that you have a passion about developing a career in engineering with an interest in science and desire to learn new skills.
You will need a minimum of 2 A Levels in addition to 5 GCSEs (grade A-C or 9-4) including Maths, English, IT and ideally a science related subject. You will also hold a UK driving licence.

You will be based within the assigned territory of Central UK (the Midlands with Leicester being a key location).
