"Global Technical Development" (PTD) is an organization of over two thousand people globally that are integral for the mission of Roche to develop meaningful medicines for patients. Therefore, PTD actively collaborates and develops creative technical solutions to bridge early-stage, late-stage and commercial product needs. The mandate of the group is, to expertly deliver the pipeline and supply quality products to patients. “​Clinical Supply Chain Management” (PTDS) is responsible for the supply of all global clinical trials throughout the lifecycle of our products - Entry into Human (EIH) to post-approval. The group partners with customers and suppliers to offer best in industry services regarding lead-times, flexibility and cost-effectiveness. The organization includes demand and supply planning, patient kit development based on clinical protocols, the operational aspects of packaging, distribution and inventory management.

To further strengthen our team for managing and optimizing our clinical supply chain, we are looking for a Clinical Demand and Supply Leader (CDSL). Your key responsibilities in this role are:

  • You assume the strategic coordination of studies/projects and ensure the effective and efficient set-up of the clinical supply chain and the delivery of study supplies in accordance with international standards and regulatory requirements.
  • The position is globally oriented and provides a uniform service level for all clinical and technical partner organizations.
  • You will be acting as a customer oriented single point of contact for all individually owned clinical supply projects and will represent the function in cross-functional and multinational teams.
  • As a core member of technical development and study management teams you will be responsible for forecasting long-term clinical supply demands and setting-up supply plans for clinical studies to ensure uninterrupted and cost-effective supply to patients.
  • Within the Clinical Supply function you liaise with simulation, packaging logistics & operations, label design, and distribution to ensure timely and compliant patient kit design, packaging, labeling as well as sufficient stocks of medication at depots of the Roche IMP distribution network.

Which qualifications will help you be successful in this job?

You hold an academic degree or diploma in life sciences and have gained a minimum of 5 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent.

Other key requirements we are looking for:

  • Clinical and/or drug development experience and knowledge in cGMPs, cGCPs and EU Clinical Trial Directive with experience in project management in a cross-functional and cross-cultural environment
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Self-motivated, dedicated, quick thinking and adaptable. Ability to set priorities and to remain flexible in stressful situations.
  • Customer-focused, ability to create trustful relationships with business partners as well as excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP/APO.
  • Excellent written / oral communication in German and English.
