Short Abstract

Foresight is a 2-year rotational programme for early-in-career talent interested in gaining broad-based experience  in Analytics, Forecasting, Strategic Insights, Primary and Secondary Market Research and Competitive Intelligence. The Strategic Insights & Analysis (SI&A) team provides strategic direction for Global Product and Strategy by making insight-based recommendations that will drive competitive differentiation of products to enable success in the market.

Programme Content

  • Duration: 24 months, starting in January 2020 (some flexibility with start date)
  • Location: Roche Pharmaceuticals in Basel, Switzerland
  • A structured programme preparing early-in-career graduates for an industry position in Strategic Insights & Analysis
  • Opportunities for varied, challenging and innovative projects among the different functions in Roche Strategic Insights & Analysis (e.g. Analytics, Forecasting, Strategic Insights, Primary and Secondary Market Research and Competitive Intelligence).

Who you are

We are looking for candidates that share our passion for people, our company’s values of integrity, courage & passion. Additionally, you should meet the following criteria:

  • First degree in science or business (or equivalent)
  • Highly quantitative mindset with excellent numeracy, as well as proven analytical expertise
  • Limited prior experience in a pharmaceutical company (1-2 years' experience in a commercial, market research, or forecasting role is preferred, but no more than 4 years accepted)
  • Business fluency in written and verbal English
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills

Outcome and prospects

You will learn the necessary skills to succeed in an analytical and highly complex environment by working on projects and conducting market research, long-term sales forecasting, analysis of secondary market research as well as competitive intelligence. You will be the cross-fertiliser by sharing learnings from experiences with other brands and therapy areas, providing impartial and independent analysis to address different business needs.
