Teamwork – coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success!
With mixed feelings and diverse expectations, we, the new training year 2017, drove for a week to Mainz together with our trainers. The goal of the introductory week was, among other things, getting to know each other as well as strengthening the team spirit. Upon arrival, there was a little snack, after which our trainers introduced themselves and informed us about the contents of the week. We were divided into eight teams, which consisted of various trainees and cooperative university students with different professional fields in order to get to know each other better. In addition, one team was made up entirely of trainers, which made the games twice as much fun. In these teams, we did a city rally in downtown Mainz and three camp Olympics, which combined sports and dexterity. The goal was to collect as many points as possible. In this constellation, we also managed the 24-hour task for the finally evening. Each and every group was creative, worked as a team and worked out the perfect performance – even the trainers! On the final evening, we had a lot of fun, the winning team with the most points was announced and the trainee band provided us with great music. In addition, during the course of the week everybody participated in five different teamwork activities, which deal with for example the topics of “Products of Roche”, “Trainee Etiquette”, “Rights and Duties during Training” etc. There were no limits to the creativity in the presentations. Thus we had the opportunity not only to get to know the products of Roche better, but also the values that the company represents. There was a pleasant atmosphere all week, we connected quickly and exchanged information. The trainers went to a lot of trouble with the organization and together we managed to grow into one team.
