Meet Johan, Account Manager
Tell us a bit about yourself
I am 33 years old and a graduate engineer. My career started in another similar company where I was employed for four years. I was headhunted to Roche and have been here for two years.
In which Roche location do you currently work and what can you tell us about that location as a work environment?
I work at Roche Diagnostics Denmark in Hvidovre.

Not only in the departments we help each other, also across the organization and I sense that everyone wants to work as a team achieving our common goals.
Why did you decide to join Roche and why at this location?
I was contacted on LinkedIn and invited for an interview resulting in my employment at Roche. I was quite content with my former job, but I just couldn't say no to a job at Roche and the position has fully lived up to my expectations.
I was attracted by Roche, because it is a big organization with lots of opportunities. Furthermore, I already had one foot in the industry and therefore knew Roche in advance and was acquainted with the company's good reputation. The recruitment process confirmed that Roche was a good company. They were very professional and knew exactly what candidate they were looking for.
What is your current position at Roche?
I am Account Manager in Molecular Diagnostics & Research. I am responsible for the departments of microbiology in Denmark where I sell molecular solutions to companies and maintaining the good relationship with our customers.
How would you describe Roche as an employer?
Roche is a very professional company with clear goals as to the direction in which they want the business to go. They stress the importance of doing everything ethically correct and of all employees observing the rules. In addition, the focus is on all employees working towards common goals and based on the same values.
Roche offers a lot of benefits to their employees. Among other things we have a very good canteen as well as good training opportunities.
All things considered, Roche manages to stand out from the competition and has a good reputation both among employees and customers.
How would you describe the people working here?
I would describe the employees in Roche as skilled, competent and committed. All employees I have been in contact with and worked with have been really professional. They are talented people who know how to lift the company focusing on teamwork.
How is your job connected to “doing now what patients need next”
I my job I am very focused on delivering a good job, as a lot of patients ultimately rely on us to deliver good quality products.
