Roche plays an active role in representing the company's activities in genetics and genomics towards employees as well as towards the public, in carrying out education and stimulating dialogue.

The Roche Genetics Education Program is an interactive CD-ROM developed to promote basic awareness of genetics in the general public, and offers an interactive tool to learn basic principles of genetics.

The program includes the following topics:

• Introduction to Genetics
• Finding Genes Associated with Diseases
• Genetics of common complex disorders
• Pharmacogenetics
• Ethical, Legal and Social Issues

The Roche Genetics Education CD-ROM was developed by Roche Genetics. It is available in eleven different languages including: English, German, French, Spanish, Grek, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, Mandarin, Hebrew and Arabic. It can be accessed in an online version via the links provided below.

We regret that due to increased security measures within the international postal system we are no longer able to ship copies of the Genetics Education CD to individuals. Roche Affiliates should contact us directly at basel.geneticscd-info@roche.com for any needs they may have or for inquiries they may receive.

Please note that this program is scheduled for discontinuation in 2012 and will therefore only be available throughthe remainder of this year.
