Roche
Diagnostics announces the launch of the cobas e 411 analyzer
Setting
new standards in
immunoassay diagnostics
Roche Diagnostics announced today the worldwide
availability
of the cobas e 411 analyzer, the next generation bench-top immunoassay analyzer. The cobas e 411
analyzer optimizes operational efficiency by combining fast turnaround time with ease of use, and is
an ideal solution for laboratories with low- to mid-volume immunoassay workloads.
Following
on the heels of the successful launch of the cobas 6000 analyzer series, the cobas e 411 analyzer is
the latest member of the cobas modular platform. The cobas modular platform concept is designed to help
labs reduce complexity by consolidating clinical chemistry and immunochemistry testing, leading to real
efficiency improvements. This is accomplished through a standardized graphical user interface, common
assay applications and technologies, and uniform reagent carriers across analytical systems.
“The
introduction of the cobas e 411 analyzer demonstrates our commitment to high performance immunoassays”,
said Dr. Volker Pfahlert, Head of Roche Professional Diagnostics, a business area of Roche Diagnostics.
“In addition to the expanded ease of use capabilities, the rapid response times for critical care parameters
will help improve patient care.”
The cobas e 411 analyzer uses the same
assay formulations
and reagent packs as the Elecsys 2010 analyzer, and the comprehensive menu includes over 60 immunoassays
for cardiovascular, oncology, fertility, and infectious disease testing. (Infectious disease testing
assays are not available in the United States.) The analyzer provides results for critical assays
such as Troponin T, CK-MB, Myoglobin, and HCG+beta in as little as nine minutes. The cobas e 411
analyzer is well suited to operate as a dedicated STAT analyzer, as a standalone analyzer or as part
of a clinical laboratory network.
