Meeting the challenge
The World Health Organization (WHO) defined the topic in the early 90s, when it became clear that there were many unanswered questions regarding the diagnosis and treatment of more than half of the world's population: women. Female symptoms are more subtle and often get overlooked. This can have fatal results, as in the case of heart disease, which has now become the number one killer of women worldwide.
