Cancer
The general medical term for a malignant growth (tumour). The main distinction is between carcinoma, which is a malignant growth of skin and mucous membrane cells (epithelial cells) and sarcoma, which is a malignant growth of supportive and connective tissue, muscles, vessel cells and blood cells.
