Immune System
The human immune system has the task of protecting the body against foreign substances and altered body cells, such as cancer cells, and to keep the body healthy in this way. This protection is carried out with specialised white blood cells (cf. phagocytes, B-cells, T-cells) and through the formation of antibodies.
