SABCS 2009

From December 9-13, 2009 the 32nd Annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) is taking place in San Antonio, Texas, USA. During the congress Roche will present new results for its cancer medicines Herceptin, Avastin and T-DM1, which represent important progress in treatment of early and late stage breast cancer. Roche highlights at the conference are:

  • new 5 year follow-up data from two pivotal studies with Herceptin in early breast cancer
  • key results from a study of Avastin in the second-line treatment of advanced breast cancer
  • strong data on the use of T-DM1, the first antibody-drug conjugate in development for very advanced HER2-positive breast cancer.
