Facts & Figures

Facts and figures in the SHE-area include performance indicators according to GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) - as well as CEFIC guidelines. On the environmental side they describe impacts of our business activites on the three environmental compartments soil, water and air. In addition the use of resources in terms of energy and raw materials is addressed. On the safety and health side impacts on our employees are considered that are linked to their work. Data from individual operations around the world are aggregated to demonstrate the SHE performance of the Roche Group.

To ensure the quality of our internal reporting systems and enhance the credibility of our sustainability reporting, our SHE performance figures undergo an external verification since 1998.

Amendments of reporting guidelines and the constant state of flux in Roche's business environment (purchases or sales of business areas, changes of product ranges, etc.) mean that the values for individual parameters are not exactly comparable year on year. We nevertheless can demonstrate continuous improvement in our SHE performance.
