Security
Securing our employees, physical assets, critical information and the integrity of our brands and products are principal concerns of Roche.
Priority is given to preventive measures, but preparedness in the case of an emergency and post-incident investigations are important elements of the activities in the field.
Employees and management are made aware of potential risks and are trained to adequately behave in specific situations. Physical assets are protected from external sabotage, theft or manipulation. Information security measures concentrate to avoid loss, leakage or manipulation of business sensitive information. Product security encompasses the appropriate protection of quality and integrity of Roche products along the supply chain to the customer as well as effective means and actions to mitigate product counterfeiting.
Security at Roche takes mainly place at the individual Roche sites worldwide. The Site Security Officers coordinate and implement local security measures. The Corporate Security Officer (CSO) defines Principles and Standards valid for the whole Group. Raising awareness, information, auditing and reporting are key elements of his tasks. He is in close contact with Group management, the network of Site Security Officers and with external partners in international organizations.
