As a Scientist with a strong background in electrophysiology and in vivo viral gene delivery techniques, you are part of the Neuroscience Discovery Area at Roche Basel. In the Synapses and Circuits group you will report to a lab head of an electrophysiology laboratory working on disease models of neurodegenerative, neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.
In your role you will have strong internal interactions with your colleagues in the team and in various other functions, and be involved in a significant number of internal projects as well as collaborations with international scientific groups.
- You will plan, run and analyze electrophysiology and imaging experiments using viral delivery of optogenetic tools to manipulate and measure neuronal activity ex vivo and in vivo
- Support the development of disease-relevant assays to monitor pathophysiological effects at the cellular, synaptic, and circuit level,
- Run and establish automated methods for analysis of these data
