Data Curator (m/f)

The Data Curator (m/f) collects, annotates, integrates and validates information from various sources, in diverse formats, using different modalities (e.g. sequencing data, image analysis data). The Data Curator (m/f) will work together with the data generating groups and provide concise data discrepancy reports to assist the QC assessments of the business areas. He/She will establish and foster processes for the efficient creation of integrated data to enable Roche teams to create insights. Ultimately, his/her activities will be pivotal for Roche to transform its data to assets.

 

  • You understand the context underlying each data type targeted for acquisition, in order to ensure that the data quality is fit for purpose
  • You are responsible for discrepancy reports that help to assess loaded data for quality and conformance and perform discrepancy management, reconciliation and takes appropriate action with data provider/owner for query resolution
  • You will use scripting tools to integrate data from various sources to simplify data curation
  • You curate data in close collaboration with the data owner using mapping rules
  • You will work with appropriate internal staff in the development and implementation of data standards and processes to ensure data quality
  • You are in charge of providing the organization with understanding of the decision-making process for data access, and suggested best practices for informing data providers of shared data use
  • You will conduct retrospective data cleaning activities
