Sr Master Data Analyst

The Sr. Master Data Analyst assists with the management of the company's data assets in order to improve and maintain timeliness and quality of the data. Enters/creates, maintain, and archives designated data within span of responsibility. Resolves issues, validates data, serves as gatekeeper, and identifies opportunities to improve master data management. .Monitors the quality of the data within span of responsibility. Makes decisions within standard guidelines with little direction. Takes risks and implements ideas within established parameters. Help facilitate the company wide teams responsible for defining data processes and standards. Assist the Master Data Management Manager and Director in ensuring data quality.

Specialized knowledge of specific work processes or area. Provides analytical work to assigned area. Advanced knowledge of a specific field, and applies this knowledge to look in-depth at information pertaining to the area. Manages, organizes, and analyzes data or other information. Acts as a resource in providing information to others in the implementation of solutions. Applies fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to analytical work. Requires some evaluation, originality or ingenuity. Generally requires at least an associates degree or equivalent training, and specific knowledge and training in software applications. Is generally assigned more complex and difficult assignments. Typically works with greater discretion and latitude. May assist lower level staff by providing technical advice and guidance.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Field calls from Master Data Analysts; troubleshoot and resolve all but the most complex problems in applicable area(s), while effectively transitioning more complex inquiries to subject matter experts.
  • Identify root causes of problems and sustainable solutions. Understands how data within their domain relates to Business KPIs and corporate financial performance. Consider and quantify financial implications of potential solutions within the scope of problems solved.
  • Maintain problem resolution database and suggests improvements to problem resolution process.
  • Establish and maintain standard Data entity and attribute definitions, Data Business rules and specifications, Data security specifications, Data retention criteria, and Data analyses standards. Develop and perform independent data quality analyses.
  • Support projects and initiatives in development and refinement of data processes in accordance with defined standards. Recommends adjustments to data policies and procedures as necessary to improve key performance indicators.
  • Define, integrate, cleanse and synchronize Data coming from multiple operational systems. Resolve Data integration issues related to data in their domain.
  • Ensure the alignment of the Business Data requirements with the IT support systems.
  • Assist Master Data Management Manager and Director in development of Corporate Data Policy and supporting guidelines, standards and procedures and in development and execution of Corporate Data Quality Program.
  • Serve as the facilitator of data quality and data management issues that span multiple business units within data domain
  • Develop advanced data process and quality metrics from business requirements. Assist with development of metrics test and validation plans. Leads execution of testing and validation of data quality metrics.
  • Develop basic data value propositions based on defined methodology and assists Data Manager and Director with development of data value propositions across business areas.
  • Provide support to other Sr. Master Data Analysts and assists Master Data Management with training of Master Data Analysts
Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
